Return the Fun(d)

Excited to see many of you tonight! And to those who are coming to the party but haven’t yet made it to a Tech Breakfast Club meetup, I hope you can join us in the months to come!

Breakfast Club Expansion

For those who are just now learning about Tech Breakfast Club because of NY Tech Week - the TLDR is that we are a group of young VC’s, early stage founders, and operators who get together to drink coffee, eat breakfast, and chat - we rarely have programing. Just interesting and kind people who want to start their day with some socializing.

We started without expectations other than having some fun but along the way really cool things have happened - investors have sourced deals, startups have raised rounds and found customers, and operators have (idk?) operated.

Coming up - we’re expanding capacity, upping our coffee and food game, and taking Tech Breakfast Club to more cities.

If you weren’t able to get off the waitlist for this tech week breakfast club (apologies - very space constrained this month!) then please hang with us next month or the month after.

Here are the sign up links:

Grata

#ad

Grata is used by over 500 firms to source and research deals. It powers $400b+ in AUM.

I was catching up with an anonymous growth equity investor and breakfast club member (who for compliance reasons has to go nameless). This breakfast club member was an early adopter of Grata and is now a bit of an evangelist for the product - I had to ask why Grata?

“It makes my life a lot easier. From an investor’s perspective, I’ve found that Grata has the most accurate and relevant dataset among sourcing tools, allowing me to get the best outside-in view on a company. Grata’s platform provides intuitive functionality for researching known companies and for net new company discovery. Differentiated features like the “Similar Companies” tool allow users to efficiently source across a broad set of company profiles.”

Boston Tech Breakfast Club Recap

I promise that these people are not paid actors

Thank you to Jay Parekh (OG Breakfast Club Member and VC at Fifth Down Capital), Kylie Bourjaily (InnoCrew Founder and Boston Super Connector), and Brett Perlmutter (Bulletpitch) for cohosting the first Tech Breakfast Club in Boston with me. And thank you Kristen Craft at Fidelity for Startups for sponsoring! Loved the turnout (especially for the first one - wow!) the energy, and the weather! Excited to see everyone again next month on November 7th.
